   Proposal Description:
   :  The category impaired, not MCI is the earliest level of clinically detectable impairments we identify in our center, and others do as well.  We suspect from preliminary analyses that subjects in this category have a reasonable chance of progressing to MCI or even AD within 3 years.  Given the concept that neuropathologic changes appear in the brain many years in advance of dementia, we hypothesize that at least some of these individuals will have Alzheimer disease neuropathologic changes [ADNC] as defined by the 2012 NIA-Alzheimer Association recommendations.    Aim 1: A definition of the range of pathological lesions associated with the clinical diagnosis of impaired, not MCI    Aim 2: Efforts to correlates of specific types of lesions and/or distribution of lesions with the clinical phenotype of impaired, not MCI
